Peyush Bansal was born on 26 April 1985 in New Delhi, India. His father is a chartered accountant. His mother’s name is Kiran Bansal, Peyush Bansal is married to Nimisha Bansal, he started his education from don bosco school, then for further studies Bansal went to McGill University Canada where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. After this, Peyush obtained a post graduation degree from IIM, Bangalore.

Career

Peyush’s first job was in 2007 at Microsoft in the US as a program manager. E-commerce was a concept in India and Peyush also had something to do in this field. For this, he created his first website with a search my campus.com which was related to books and part time jobs. After this, he created four more websites which were related to eyewear, jewelry, watches and bags. He gave more importance to eyewear out of these four websites. In 2010, Peyush Bansal and his two friends Amit Chaudhary and Sumeet Kapahi together opened an online portal called Lenskart which initially only sold lenses, gradually they started selling eyewear and sunglasses as well. Peyush had to struggle a lot in the beginning of his startup and the result of his hard work is that today the net worth of Peyush Bansal’s company Lenskart is more than $ 1000 million.
