Srikanth Bolla was blind since childhood but with his struggle and hard work, he has achieved that position which is impossible for many people.
Srikanth was born in Seetharampuram village of Machilipatnam, Andhra Pradesh in 1992. Srikanth Bolla had to struggle a lot due to blindness and lack of resources. Shrikant said that when he was born blind, someone advised his parents to put him in an orphanage. At that time no one thought that he would get ‘education’ from a good institute and become a successful business man.
When Srikanth was admitted in the school, no one had any hope from Srikanth because of being blind. But Srikanth’s parents never left Srikanth’s side. Srikanth was made fun of in school but Srikanth never paid attention to it. He passed every year with good marks in the class. The result of his hard work was that he passed the 10th class with 90 percent marks. After class 10th, he wanted to pursue further studies in Science. But he was not given the right to study science. But after a lot of struggle, he got permission to study science subject at his own risk.
Srikanth passed 12th class with very good numbers. After this, he got admission in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) of America. In this way Srikanth became the first blind student to study in MIT. After studying from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, instead of working in America, he thought of doing something for his country. He wanted to do something for the poor people of india, due to which he came back to India.

In the year 2012, Srikanth Bolla built a consumer food packaging company named Bollant Industries in the country itself. Eco-friendly packaging is manufactured here by leaves and paper. When he started the company, he faced a lot of money problems. He started his business by collecting funds from various banks and other institutions. Ratan Tata, owner of the Tata Group, has also invested in his company.
Along with Tata, Satheesh Reddy, SP Reddy, Srini Raju, Chalamala Setty, Ravi Manth have also invested in Srikanth’s company. When he started his company, there were 8 people in his company at that time and today his company has 650 employees.
Srikanth’s company has progressed so much that in the year 2021, Forbes has ranked Srikanth Bolla in the 30 under 30 Asia list. He has won many prestigious youth service awards, Youth Excellence Award of Telugu Fine Arts Society, Entrepreneur of the Year Award 2015, Business Line Young Change Maker Award 2018 etc.
