Sadhguru Jagadish Vasudev commonly referred to as Jaggi, often referred to as Sadhguru, is an eminent Indian yogi and spiritual leader known for his profound impact on people worldwide. He was born on September 3, 1957, in Mysore, Karnataka, India, to B.V. Vasudev, a doctor at the Mysore Railway Hospital, and Susheela Vasudev, a homemaker. He had a remarkable upbringing deeply rooted in nature. Growing up as the youngest of five siblings, he developed a fascination with snakes and spent his childhood exploring the lush forests near his home. This early connection with nature would later play a significant role in shaping his spiritual journey.

Academic Pursuits and Passion for Motorcycles

Despite his early exposure to yoga through a chance encounter at the age of twelve, Sadhguru Jagadish Vasudev initially pursued academic interests. He studied English Literature at the University of Mysore and during his college days, developed a passion for motorcycles. From Business Ventures to Spiritual Awakening

After completing his university studies, Sadhguru ventured into various business endeavors, including poultry farming and construction, which brought him financial stability. However, his life took a dramatic turn on September 23, 1982, when he experienced a profound spiritual awakening while meditating on Chamundi Hill. This awakening inspired a year of introspection, culminating in his evolution into a spiritual teacher.
