He is an Indian Administrative Service officer who left the country’s most prestigious job to help UPSC aspirants and set up a company whose value is more than Rs 14,000 crore. He is the co-founder of the online educational institution, Unacademy. Unacademy is an online education platform that makes learning and teaching both easy with its educational videos and lectures. It started in 2010 with YouTube and in 2015 it was officially launched.
MBBS studies
Former IAS Roman Saini is a resident of Raikaranpur in Kotputli, Rajasthan. He was born on 27 July 1991. Roman Saini’s mother is a housewife and father is an engineer. At the age of 16, he passed the admission test in a prestigious institute like AIIMS. After completing his MBBS, He worked as a Junior Resident in NDDTC. After studying medicine, at the age of 22, Roman also passed the IAS exam in the first attempt. He secured 18th rank in this exam. Roman Saini had cleared the country’s most difficult IAS exam in first attempt in the year 2014.
Unacademy coaching career of Dr Roman Saini
He quit his IAS job. He decided to start an academy for better education of the youth. The company was founded in 2015 by Munjal, Roman Saini and their third co-founder Hemesh Singh. It started as a YouTube channel created by Gaurav Munjal in 2010, He started this organization to help poor aspiring students and students from middle-class families.
At present, this coaching center of his has become an offline center as well as an online center. Bangalore is headquarter of Unacademy.
