Who is Archit Chandak

Archit Chandak originates from Shankar Nagar, Nagpur, Maharashtra, and is the only son of Virendra and Chhaya Chandak, who are directors of Nagpur Techno Marketing Pvt. Ltd. He completed his schooling at Bhavan’s BP Vidya Mandir and then pursued his mechanical engineering degree from IIT Delhi, emerging as the city topper in the JEE examination of 2012. Even during his college days, Archit’s commitment to serving the country in a governmental capacity began to take shape.

From High-Paying Offer to Public Service

During his internship, the Japanese company offered Archit a substantial package of Rs 35 lakh. However, driven by his fervent desire to serve his nation, he turned down the offer and dedicated himself to UPSC exam preparation. In 2018, Archit achieved an All-India Rank (AIR) of 184 in his first attempt at the UPSC exam. His career in law enforcement began as the Station House Officer at Bazarpeth police station in Bhusawal, Maharashtra, and he has since been appointed as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Nagpur.

Archit bases his approach to studying and revising on organization. He advised focusing on one subject at a time and emphasized the importance of consistency and progress tracking. Archit married to his UPSC batchmate, IAS Saumya Sharma, who is now the CEO of Zilla Parishad Nagpur.

Chess, Marathons, and Inspiring Success

Beyond his professional achievements, IPS Archit Chandak is an avid chess player with a FIDE rating of 1,820. He is also a fitness enthusiast who completed the 42-kilometer Mumbai Marathon. With an active presence on social media, particularly Instagram, where he boasts 92.2K followers, Archit provides glimpses into his daily life and activities.
