Introduction

Ankita Sharma was born on 25 April 1990 in Durg city of Chhattisgarh, her father’s name is Rakesh Sharma and mother’s name is Savita Sharma. Her husband’s name is Vivekanand Shukla, who is an officer in the Indian Army. Ankita is the eldest of three sisters. She did his schooling and graduation from Durg, Chhattisgarh. She has also done MBA after graduation.

Ankita’s UPSC journey

IPS Ankita Sharma after post graduation went to Delhi for UPSC preparation. After doing coaching for 6 months, she came back home and started preparing for UPSC at home. Ankita failed in her first two attempts. But later worked hard with patience and made his dream of becoming an IPS come true by bringing 203 rank in the third attempt in 2018. He got posting in his hometown Chhattisgarh. Presently, Ankita is working as Superintendent of Police, Azad Chowk City, Raipur, capital of Chhattisgarh.

Clash with MLA

Ankita was in the news for her argument with Congress MLA Shakuntala Sahu. Where the MLA had threatened to show him his status. In response to which Ankita said that the MLA is free to call anyone.

Operation Bastar

Due to Naxism in Chhattisgarh’s Bastar, Operation Bastar was launched to eliminate Naxalites from the district, the command of which was handed over to Ankita. Due to this operation, Ankita became very famous. There she killed many Naxalites.

IPS Ankita Sharma teaches tribal children of Naxal affected area. Apart from these, she also teaches free of cost to the youth preparing for UPSC. She says that when there is no one to guide, then there is a lot of trouble. That’s why she wants that no one should have this problem. Due to which she takes out one day in a week and teaches the youth preparing for UPSC for free.
