Birth Place and Family of Athar Aamir Khan

Athar Aamir Khan was born on 5 September 1992 in Devipora, Mattan, Anantnag District, Jammu and Kashmir. Athar’s father Mohammad Shafi Khan is a lecturer in a college in Anantnag and his mother is a house wife. They are four siblings.

Education

He did his schooling from Evergreen Public School Anantnad Aikbal Memorial Institute Anantnag located in Devipora village of Jammu and Kashmir and Bisco School Srinagar.

After completing his schooling, he did his college studies from IIT, Himachal Pradesh. Athar Aamir was a genius since childhood. He also won the ‘Best Young Scientist’ award in the National Children’s Science Competition.

UPSC and Career

When IAS Athar Aamir khan was doing B. Tech., he had taken a vow to become an IAS. UPSC topper Shah Faesal inspired him to become an IAS. After B.Tech, he passed the Railway exam in 2014 and got a job in the Indian Railway Traffic Service. But he did not show interest in this job and started fulfilling his dream of becoming an IAS.

In 2016, he stood second in the UPSC exam with 50.27 % marks. Tina Dabi stood first in this exam. with whom he later married. He chose Geography as a subject in the IAS exam. He is the second Kashmiri after Shah Faesal to clear the IAS exam in 2009. After IAS training, Athar got the Rajasthan cadre.

IAS Athar Aamir khan and IAS Tina dabi first met in 2015 at the IAS felicitation ceremony at the DOPT office in Delhi. They came close to each other during their training period at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie. They got married in 2018. But after two years of marriage, in November 2020, both of them filed for divorce with mutual consent in Jaipur Family Court and in August 2021 their divorce application was approved.

After divorce from Tina Dabi, Athar married Dr. Mehreen Qazi on 1 October 2022 after a long dating. This is his second marriage. Dr. Mehreen Qazi is a resident of Lal Bazar, Srinagar. Dr. Mehreen has studied in UK and Germany. She has a degree in Medicine. Dr. Mehreen obtained the degree of Doctor of Medicine from Ambedkar University, Delhi.
