bhavish Aggarwal was born on 28 August 1985 in Ludhian. He did her schooling from Sacred Heart Convent School, Ludhiana. bhavish Aggarwal has completed B.Tech in Computers from IIT Bombay in 2004. Mr. Naresh Kumar Agarwal is his father and Mrs. Usha Agarwal is his mother. His father is an orthopedic surgeon and his mother a pathologist.

He wanted to become a Entrepreneur and should do something about the problems of the society in future. Once he was traveling from Bangalore to Bandipur by car but halfway the driver started asking him for money.
Due to the rude behavior of the driver, he had to get off the car and had to travel the rest of the journey by bus. This was his bad experience. In the bus, he was thinking again and again that many people would have this problem. This is where he got the idea of starting a cab company. He co-founded Ola Cabs with Ankit Bhati. He founded the website Olatrips.com to book cars for outbound travel.

Initially they were offering on-demand rides to customers through phone calls. Soon after the app was launched, they received an investment of $5 million from Tiger Global Management.
